From July 26 to 28, 2025, Higher Education Track Finals of the 8th Global Competition on Design for Future Education (2025) , co-hosted by Beijing Normal University and UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (UNESCO IITE), will be held at the Changping Campus of Beijing Normal University.
The judging committee of this competition consists of internationally renowned experts from fields such as industrial technology, mathematical sciences, artificial intelligence education, and psychology. Combining profound academic expertise with extensive industry experience, these experts will provide a global, multi-dimensional, and forward-looking professional evaluation perspective for the competition. Based on their rich cross-cultural and interdisciplinary experience, the judges will conduct a comprehensive assessment across five dimensions: problem consciousness, innovative spirit, integration of science and education, application prospects, and presentation and expression, aiming to identify education innovation solutions with practical value and offer new insights for advancing education modernization.

Professor Kanwar is one of the world’s leading advocates of learning for sustainable development. She has won several international awards, including the International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE) Prize of Excellence, and the Meritorious Service Award for outstanding contributions in open and distance education from the Asian Association of Open Universities.

PhD, Senior National Project Officer in Education and Chief of the Unit of Teacher Professional Development and Networking, UNESCO IITE. Her professional activities are focused on new model ICT- and AI-based approaches to teaching-learning environment for education of persons with disabilities in the 21st century.
Prof. Xiang'en Hu
Professor, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Dean of the Institute for Higher Education Research and Development (IHERD) , Chair Professor in Learning Sciences and Technologies at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Director of Teaching and Research at the Educational Research and Development Institute and Senior Researcher at the Institute for Intelligent Systems (IIS), University of Memphis. His main research focuses on mathematical psychology, research design and statistical analysis, and cognitive psychology.
Prof. Yanyan Li
Professor, Beijing Normal University

Professor and doctoral supervisor at the Faculty of Education, Beijing Normal University, Deputy Director of Beijing Key Laboratory of Educational Technology, Vice Dean of Smart Learning Institute of Beijing Normal University, Chief Expert of the National Science and Technology Major Project on New-Generation Artificial Intelligence. Her research focuses on AI applications in education, smart education, learning analytics, and collaborative learning. She has led over 20 major projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and national and municipal education planning programs.
