BACKGROUND:
The 2019 Summer Training Program for The Belt & Road organized by Smart Learning Institute of Beijing Normal University (SLIBNU), focuses on nurturing high-end talent and developing relevant disciplines for The Belt & Road countries. SLIBNU is a comprehensive experimental platform involving scientific research, technology development, and instructional teaching, which was jointly established by Beijing Normal University and a global educational technology company, Elernity.
PURPOSES:
Supported by the Beijing Government, the program aims at attracting an increasing number of high-level talents to learn and exchange ideas, as well as train in China.
Helping talents from various countries have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the Chinese culture.
Helping Chinese teachers and students have a comprehensive and deep understanding of cultures of The Belt & Road countries.
Promoting relevant scientific research cooperation between China and The Belt & Road countries.

The theme of the 2019 BNU Summer Training Program is “Future Education in China: Innovation, Design, and Technology”. The core course is “Design Thinking & Design Methodology”, which is one of the featured courses at Beijing Normal University.
FEATURES:
Organizing the training course on Design Thinking & Design Methodology.
Developing field research in local schools and universities.
Organizing trips to places of interest in Beijing and helping talents from The Belt & Road countries learn more about Chinese history and culture.
Enhancing comprehensive education exchange and cooperation among China and The Belt & Road countries, including exchanges on learning reflections and research cooperation.

Application Requirements:
Candidates MUST be citizens of The Belt & Road Countries (The 16 Central and Eastern European countries are preferred, including Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Czech, Slovak Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Romania, Bulgaria & Macedonia.)
Candidates should be in good health and willing to abide by China’s laws and regulations as well as university regulations.
Candidates should have insurance covering overseas major disease treatment and accidental injury over the training period.
The following candidates are preferred:
Educational administrators and policy-makers;
University lecturers;
K12 headmasters and teachers;
Post-doctoral researchers and Ph.D. students in the field of design and education.

2.A copy of your passport ID page;
3.Certificate or official letter for studying or working at the current institution.
Step 2. After the email confirmation, please complete the Application Form for International Students’ Admission to Beijing Normal University online and provide two ID photos.
Notes: All the documents must be in English or Chinese. If they are in other languages, a translated and notarized copy in Chinese or English must be provided.
Application Fee and Tuition Fees:
Application Fee: 350 RMB/person, Not Refundable (online payment).
Tuition Fees: Tuition fees are supported by 2019 BNU Summer School for The Belt & Road.
Others: We will provide accommodation and arrange transportation during the training period. Costs for flight and visa should be paid by participants.
