Matthew Cooper, vice president of Thomas Edison State University, said there is a huge difference between converting face-to-face courses into an online format and trying to build courses from scratch. He reminded teachers not to be too obsessed with the complexity of technology, but to choose from a variety of online tools suitable for themselves and students. Cooper pointed out that good communication between teachers and students is more important than making perfect courseware.
