Johnathan Michael Spector was the chairman of American Association for the Education and Communication Technology (AECT). His research areas include education plan and project evaluation, learning evaluation in complex field, the integration of information technology and teaching, remote education and so on. Spector is the editor of Education Technology Research and Development (ETRD) and edit the third and fourth edition of Handbook of Research on Educational Communications and Technology which is the most influential in the education technology field.
