The fourth US-China Smart Education Conference was held in Denton, Texas, USA, from March 18 to 20, 2019. Co-organized by Beijing Normal University, the University of North Texas, and the National Engineering Laboratory for Intelligent Technology and Application of Internet Education, and jointly hosted by the Smart Learning Institute of Beijing Normal University and the College of Information at the University of North Texas, the conference gathered over 200 experts and scholars from around the world.

Participants delivered keynote speeches and conducted workshops on a wide range of topics, including science education, educational service robotics, artificial intelligence and mixed reality, gamified learning, smart equipment for future education, and MOOCs. Rich parallel forums were organized, covering themes such as “Science Education Forum in the Digital Transformation Era,” “Educational Service Robotics Development Forum,” and “The Impact of Investment Waves and New Technologies on US-China Education.” The International Conference on Smart Learning Environments was also held concurrently.

A dedicated VR Showcase Exhibition featured the latest smart education solutions from companies such as Edmodo, UB Tech, Weiyuyan, Di2 STEM, Emsi, iteach Texas, VIVE, and Springboard VR, creating an interactive platform for communication and hands-on experience among attendees.
