The 7th International Conference on Smart Learning Environments(ICSLE 2023) (http://iasle.net/icsle-2023/) will be held on August 31st - September 1st, 2023 at the Bangkok in Thailand. The conference theme is "Intelligent Learning for Sustainable Societies: Emerging Technologies and Applications". It aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, and policy makers to discuss and leverage emerging technologies for promoting sustainable learning in society. The focus is on the convergence of education, technology, and their interaction for the advancement of smart learning environments.
The conference is jointly organized by the Thailand Cyber University (TCU), the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, and the International Association of Smart Learning Environments (IASLE), in conjunction with TCU International E-Learning Conference 2023 (IEC2023), an annual event held in Thailand. We will be inviting senior officials of the Thai government, including the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, to open the conference.
Smart education is currently the focus of national education informatization and a hot topic in educational technology research, and is an important aspect of the educational development process. The International Conference on Smart Learning Environments (ICSLE) will be the 7th of its kind, having been held in Hong Kong, China (2014), Sinaia, Romania (2015), Tunis, Tunisia (2016), Beijing, China (2018), Denton, USA (2019), and Hangzhou, China (2022), bringing together international experts in smart learning and research with significant international influence.
As the organizer of this conference, IASLE is committed to studying the interaction and integration of pedagogy and technology, and actively promoting the development of smart learning environments. The Journal of Smart Learning Environments (SLE) was established in 2014 and is the official publication of the International Association of Smart Learning Environments (IASLE). Its purpose is to explore issues related to transforming current learning environments into intelligent learning environments to reform teaching and learning methods. Since its inception, SLE has published 202 high-quality academic papers across 9 volumes. In the 2021 SJR ranking of 1,381 journals in the Education category, SLE ranked 216th, placing it in the Q1 zone. According to Springer Nature's 2021 Editorial Excellence list, SLE ranked eighth among education journals, putting it in the top 10%.
