Dean Huang invited to “Digital Learning Online Seminar”

With the development of the internet, digital learning has received increasing attention from various industries. During the outbreak of COVID-19, the popularization of digital education brought about the reconstruction and innovation of educational concept, model and system. In this context, CCB University held the “Digital Learning Online Seminar Summit” and invited domestic and foreign experts and scholars to jointly discuss theoretical and practical issues of digital learning. On April 28, Professor Huang Ronghuai, Dean of The Institute of Intelligent Learning, Beijing Normal University, was invited to attend the seminar and gave a lecture entitled "Policy Interpretation and Practice of Digital Education at Home and Abroad" to the guests and audience.
With an in-depth interpretation of digitalized education at home and abroad, Professor Huang analyzed the global education quality report and the policies of the US, Australia, Germany and other countries in digitalized education, pointing out that artificial intelligence’s core values lie in learning, teaching and management and that there are three main issues brought by AI, which are policymaking, talent development and ethical considerations.

Professor Huang introduced our country’s relevant policies on education informatization and pointed out that due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and the requirement of “Disrupted Classes, Undisrupted Learning”, China’s education is characterized by flexible learning, self-directed learning, choosing on-demand, respecting for differences, open resources, technological support, school-family collaboration, public engagement. etc. Huang also summed up the seven key elements of “Disrupted Classes, Undisrupted Learning”, which are, reliable network infrastructure, appropriate digital learning resources, friendly learning tools, diverse learning approaches, flexible teaching plans, effective support services, and close cooperation between the government, schools and enterprises.
