At the meeting of the education department on June 11, a draft of protection measures for the next academic year was proposed, and the autonomous community contributed to this.
The guidelines make recommendations to achieve the goal of giving priority to face-to-face teaching for students, teachers and families in safe conditions during the covid-19 pandemic.
The Ministry of health, the Ministry of education and the Ministry of vocational training, with the contribution of the Ministry of education, have finalized the recommended guidelines on preventive, health and health promotion measures for the 2020-2021 school year.
This document provides a common framework that can be adjusted in each autonomous community and implemented according to the actual situation of each education center and its region.
The draft document was presented at the education sector meeting held on 11 June so that autonomous communities can study, contribute and comment on it.
After receiving suggestions from the ministries, both ministries are in the process of finalizing the guidelines, which have been sent to different ministries of education.
1. Interpersonal distance and stable group coexistence
With regard to access restrictions, the document reviews the obligation to maintain a safe distance of 1.5 meters between people.
For infant and primary education, you can choose to establish stable coexistence groups of 15 to 20 students whose members can interact without having to maintain interpersonal distance and avoid contact with other groups.
In the case of infection, this alternative will also promote traceability.
Considering that it is difficult to keep a safe distance in these age groups, this article recommends this option to infants and students in grade one and grade two of primary school.

The Ministry of education can give the maximum number of students the flexibility to form groups, but only if authorized by the health authorities of the above autonomous regions.
The guide also recommends giving priority to outdoor activities, mistaking entrances and breaks, or designing other organizational measures to avoid crowding, and to minimize the number of student groups traveling in the center.

2. Use masks over 6 years old
In personal hygiene measures, in addition to frequent and careful hand washing, it is recommended to use disposable tissue and cover the mouth and nose with curved elbows when coughing or sneezing.
As for masks, they are not mandatory for infant students.
If primary school students are in a stable coexistence group, it is not suitable using masks for primary school students.
Starting with secondary education, if you can't get a distance of 1.5 meters, you must also use it.
If it is not possible to keep a safe distance, teachers are advised to use it compulsorily.
Infants and tutors may not use masks in stable coexistence.

The document generally recommends the use of sanitary masks, which can be reused if possible.
In addition, each center will have a cleaning agreement consistent with its facilities, including cleaning and disinfecting facilities at least once a day (at least three times for toilets), with special attention to public areas and more frequently contacted surfaces, such as door handles and handrails.
The guide also recommends ventilation for at least 5 minutes at the beginning of the day, at the end of the day and between classes (10 minutes if rooms have been used before).
If weather conditions and buildings permit, it is recommended to keep windows open for as long as possible.
