Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Beijing Normal University, Vice Dean of the Smart Learning Institute of Beijing Normal University, Deputy Director of the Beijing Key Laboratory for Educational Technology, and Chief Scientist of the National Key Project on Next-Generation Artificial Intelligence. She also serves as the Executive Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Computers in Education.

Her research focuses on AI applications in education, smart education, learning analytics, and collaborative learning. She has led more than 20 projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Education Science Planning Program, and key projects of the Beijing Education Science Planning Program. She has published over 100 academic papers in domestic and international journals and conferences, authored five books in both Chinese and English, and holds multiple patents and software copyrights. She has also been invited to deliver keynote speeches at leading international conferences on artificial intelligence in education, such as AIED and ICALT.
