The 6th Global Competition on Design for Future Education(GCD4FE 2023) is coming for you!


Introduction

The 6th Global Competition on Design for Future Education is jointly held by universities,domestic and foreign organizations and well-known science and technology enterprises. It is divided into two categories: for college students and for primary and secondary school teachers. With the theme of AI and Education, Metaverse and Education, Rural Education, Inclusive Education, and Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Psychology, it aims to show how intelligent technology can meet the diversity of needs of all learners and reflect the possibilities that technology brings to disadvantaged groups and rural areas. In addition, 2023 Call for Posters, with a theme of “My Vision for the Futures of Education”, will be held for college students across the world and 2023 Call for Videos, with a theme of “5-Minute Mini Lesson on Knowledge Points in K12”, will be held for primary and secondary school teachers across the world in order to demonstrate how teachers and students in different countries think about education.

Themes

AI and Education:How can AI create infinite possibilities in the campus of the future, hybrid learning spaces, virtual teachers, and intelligent evaluation?

Metaverse and Education: How can an immersive online space construct educational scenarios in metaverse courses, metaverse conferences, and metaverse with digital twins?

Rural Education:What design can help solve the needs of rural areas, such as teacher shortages, students’ motivation improving, curriculum design based on rural resources, and foundational learning of literacy and numeracy skills?

Inclusive Education: How can an educational model help include all students? Including inclusive learning environments, disadvantaged group (students with physical disabilities and health impairments, girls and women, the elderly) and specific group (students with learning difficulties, and gifted children).

Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Psychology: How to accurately access students learning ability and status to effectively promote their mental healthand well-being based on AI, Big Data, game-based and personalized psychological assessment and mental health, etc.?


Arrangement

For College Students

College students can participate in teams (5-6 members per team). Their design projects will be in the form of documents, posters and videos. The participants should be undergraduates and postgraduates majoring in education, design, computer science, psychology and other related majors across five continents around the world.

Registration and Team Building: March 1st, 2023 to April 18th, 2023

Online Learning and Project Design: April 18th, 2023 to May 18th, 2023

Project Review and Results Announcement: June, 2023

48H Pre-Finals: July, 2023

Global Finals: August, 2023

For Primary and Secondary School Teachers

Primary and secondary school teachers can enroll individually or in teams and submit their case studies online, in the form of core documents and types of supplementary materials. The participants should be primary and secondary school teachers across the world, with no limitations to the teaching subjects, including teachers in formal, informal and non-formal schools and those engaged in K12 education.

First Review and Case-study Optimization: June, 2023

2023 Call for Posters and Call for Videos

2023 Call for Posters, with a theme of “My Vision for the Futures of Education”, is open to undergraduates and postgraduates across the world.2023 Call for Videos, with a themeof “5-Minute Mini Lesson on Knowledge Points in K12” is open toprimary and secondary school teachers across the world.

Work Submission and Public Review: March 1st, 2023 to May 18th, 2023

Expert Review and Results Announcement: June, 2023

Call for Posters (For college students): Participants have to download the application form in the official website, and submit the project and application form to the email <d4fe@bnu.edu.cn>.

Call for Videos (For primary and secondary school teachers): Participants have to register and submit the video in the E-Library platform initiated by UNESCO IITE https://elibrary.iite.unesco.org/
