Attending ICTA 2019 at Tunisia

From December 13th - 15th, Professor Ronghuai Huang, Co-Dean of the Smart Learning Institute of Beijing Normal University, and his research team Dr. Ting-Wen Chang, Dr. Ahmed Tlili and Dr. Xiangling Zhang attended the 7th International conference on ICT & Accessibility (ICTA19) in Tunisia, Hammamet.
During the conference, Prof. Huang delivered a key note speech entitled “ICT and OER in education: Future Perspectives”. In this speech, he talked about how OER and ICT shifted education in China.Additionally, Prof. Huang and his team in collaboration with the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) organized an international Open Educational Resources (OER) workshop where they discussed several research reports related to OER and disability, OER in rural education and OER in the Arab region as well as the ALECSO OER achievements (22 countries). Several important organizations, such as UNESCO, ITU and disability associations were present to further give their inputs and discuss the shared outcomes.
Furthermore, Prof. Huang and Prof. Jemni, ICT director of ALECSO, discussed several future collaborations related to developing technologies and conducting research activities in different fields, including ICT, OER, etc.
